6.9-Acre Whitminster Site Earmarked For New Homes

SevenHomes, the regional housebuilder by SevenCapital Group, has exchanged contracts on a 6.9-acre greenfield site in Whitminster, to bring new homes to the area. 

Located on surplus land off Hyde Lane, Paynes Meadow, and behind existing housing, the site is earmarked for circa 60 new family homes, subject to planning approval, including 19 affordable homes (30%) in line with local area requirements. Plans for the site will also include open space for the community and ecological enhancements to meet a minimum of 10% Biodiversity Net Gain.  

Situated less than 10 miles south-west of Gloucester within the beautiful Severn Vale, the village of Whitminster is surrounded by countryside and is served by the Whitminster Endowed Church of England Primary School along with pubs, shops and restaurants. The village also offers excellent transport links, sitting just off the A38 and with the M5 motorway located just a mile away. 

Abdul Ali, executive director and head of office for SevenHomes, said: “This site in Paynes Meadow is a prime spot to provide new homes and public open space to the area, whilst remaining sensitive to Whitminster’s village status.
